Superior one-bedroom flat (for 2 persons) on central promenade a stone's throw from beach and sailing club
The Boulevard Flat is situated on Bexhill’s central promenade just short of the town centre and close to the Sailing club. The pristine level-walk, boulevard style prom links Galley Hill, at the eastern end of De La Warr Parade, with Cooden on Bexhill’s western borders. Only a couple of minutes walk, too, from the shops and the focal point of the town, the famous De La Warr Pavilion, the flat is ideally placed for easy access to Bexhill’s main amenities.
Located on the ground floor (a few steps up from the prom pavement to the entrance) of a well-converted house, the Boulevard Flat is approached through a lobby (with entryphone for security) and hallway. Inside the flat, the accommodation is spacious and comprises sitting/dining room, large bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
The sitting room window overlooks the promenade, and provides sweeping low-level views of the sea across the beach, with the sailing club to the right. This south-facing room is attractively furnished and decorated to a high standard. A dining table and chairs are matched with a sideboard, cabinet and coffee tables, all in limed oak. Complementing this furniture is a cottage-style two seater settee and armchair. A 32" flat screen television and DVD player, plus a standard lamp and the usual trimmings, complete this inviting room.
The large bedroom contains two single beds, with a double wardrobe, chest and bedside cabinets all in an attractive oyster finish. This room, too, has an enticing holiday ambience. All bedding (duvets) and a set of bed linen is included for a holiday rental and the beds will be made up prior to arrival. Personal towels and additional/change of bed linen can be hired separately (see ‘Extras’ tariff).
A breakfast bar-type servery connects the sitting/dining room with the kitchen, which has been recently refurbished with a good range of cream coloured cupboards and storage units. Cooking facilities are provided by an integrated double oven and a separate four ring electric hob with extractor hood above. There is an integrated washer/drier and refrigerator with a small freezer compartment, also a kettle, toaster and more than sufficient crockery and utensils, etc for two persons.
The bathroom has been recently refurbished and includes a walk-in (electric) shower, vanitory unit and WC, plus a heated towel rail and electric shaving point. A large airing cupboard off the hallway completes the apartment.
Heating is provided by modern night storage heaters (a supplementary electric heater is also provided), all windows are double glazed, and there is fitted carpet throughout. A payphone is provided. The building has a fire alarm system with regulatory connections to each flat. Car parking on the promenade road outside the flat is free and unrestricted, while the rail station and National Express coach stop from London is only a few minutes away for those who prefer not to drive.
Children/Pets: Sorry, no children or pets permitted.
The Boulevard Flat is extremely suitable for couples seeking above-average accommodation, near Bexhill’s town centre. This is a spot for well-behaved adults to enjoy!
