The Devonshire Flat offers an ideal location for those who like to have a resort’s main amenities on their doorstep: the sea, the main shopping centre and the De La Warr Pavilion are just a few yards away, while Bexhill’s pristine level-walk seafront stretches east and west from outside the front door to Galley Hill and Cooden.
Situated on the first floor of a mansion-style block, the entrance door to the flat is approached by (25 small) exterior steps directly off the seafront road (Marina). Inside, the apartment is spacious with all rooms leading off a long (40ft) hallway. Most of the property has been decorated in light colours to provide an attractive holiday ambience.
The accommodation comprises a sitting room and three bedrooms plus the usual amenities. The spacious sitting room, which offers good views of the sea over a low arcade from it’s south facing windows, includes a three piece suite, armchairs, 32" flat screen LCD TV with Freesat tuning box and DVD player, plus a dining table and chairs.
The two main bedrooms, attractively presented and facing south, contain twin beds and a wash basin. The third bedroom, facing east, contains a single bed. All bedrooms contain a wardrobe and chests etc.
A practical kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, as well as the usual cupboard space. The flat is fully equipped with cutlery and crockery etc, for up to five persons. Similarly, all bedding is provided (duvets) except for bed linen. Bed linen and towels can be hired separately (see Extras tariff). The apartment is furnished and equipped in traditional style and provides a comfortable short-stay holiday home. A door from the kitchen leads to a balcony-type walkway fronted by a low wall and guests with young children should ensure that children are supervised at all times. Adult guests may use the area if they wish but at their own risk. Please note, the flat is not offered with a balcony facility.
The apartment is completed by a fitted cupboard in the hall and a bathroom/WC with bath (shower over). The flat is close-carpeted throughout and the main rooms are gas-centrally heated. Most windows have double glazed units and being south facing, take every advantage of the sun to offer very cosy accommodation throughout the year.
There is no parking facility but free unrestricted seafront parking is available a short distance away, with closer roadside parking facilities in the evening.
Children/Pets: Children and small pets are welcome.
